Jeb and Safety

Jeb and I went to Target this morning. Afterwards, we came home and ate lunch. At both locations, his life was in danger due to his utter disregard for safety precautions. At Target, I could NOT keep him seated in the shopping cart. (And before you say it, yes, he was buckled, but figured out how to wiggle out.) Once at home, he figured out how to climb up to the stove. Luckily, it wasn't hot, but still.... My girls would have never attempted such things! Is this what I have to look forward to? No. No, don't answer that. I'd rather live oblivious to my certain future.

Oh.my.word! I guess this is why all of my friends who have boys seem to "wish" and "pray" that I have a boy! My girls are very much like yours...wouldn't do this and haven't yet! Don't get me wrong, C is my "crazy" one but apparently it just doesn't compare. Like you though, I'd rather just stay oblivious to what lies ahead if we have a boy!

As the mom of 3 boys I could share some stories for you but I think it's best you just find out little by little...day by day!!!
I heard Matt and Belle on the radio the other morning. Too sweet. Your family is precious!

Welcome to being a Mom of a BOY! Parker does both of those things you showed Jeb doing. I won't share what I've caught Peyton doing lately. Oh the life with boys!

(Insert Evil Laugh here)......I would agree with the posts about boys, but you know VERY well it's not about boys....you should have an Anistyn. Climbing has been her art since she was in the womb....she climbed my ribs. I remember countless days in WM when she would climb out of the belted seat when I turned my head, grab the carton of eggs and proceed to throw them on the floor....or at customers. SIGH. CALGON.

You bless me to pieces! I love to read your blog...I sneak over from Shannon & Susan's, I hope you don't mind. Truly some of my greatest blessings come from reading your blog!

Are Jeb and Porter twins? They could be with these little stunts. Rachel never did ANYTHING like this.

This is the curse of having a boy...it's the testosterone and it never goes away...they just produce more....all you can do is pray he learns to control it with age...

I don't want a boy!!! Coutney does that stuff, and, well, she is a girl. Head first out of the cart yesterday at Target. Thank God Paul was there because all I could do was scream like a girl. Target needs childcare!

I can totally relate. C is into EVERYTHING and it's nearly impossible to keep him in a shopping cart now. Ugh.

Oh, and he totally pulled a shelf over on him tonight. Not just any shelf...the one containing Husband's prized autographed Hershell Walker football (among other things Dallas Cowboys). Thankfully the case is plexiglass.

Yeah, Husband freaked out a little.
