I think I've mentioned before that Jeb is obsessed with trains, specifically Thomas the Tank Engine.
If you love Thomas, too, please do not be offended by my next statement. Here it comes.... I would rather watch The Wiggles than Thomas. Oh yeah. I just said that. There's just something about how the trains' and people's mouths don't move when they talk. It's unnatural. And that theme song. Honest to goodness, every time I hear it, I shudder. Again, I apologize if you are a Thomas lover. It's nothing personal.
But for now, I have a boy who loves trains. In fact, when I took him to school this morning, he had one stuffed in each pocket. So, a few weekends ago, Matt and I decided to take him for a ride on a real train. The little guy was absolutely beside himself. I think the facial expressions say it all.
The boy LOVED it and talks about his train ride every day. I'm so glad to have been able to take him but am afraid it has only intensified his train fixation. Sigh.
I remember my girls really liking Dora the Explorer, but their fanaticism never reached the heights Jeb has with his Thomas. What about you? Are your kids obsessed with anything at the moment?

As far as tv shows go, Ava & Addy are obssess with Dora Bin Espora (straight from Ava's mouth)
I record it so that I don't have to watch it and it's on hand for those melt down moments. BUT I can only take sooooo much tv. I have to turn it off and make it a reward for being good.
My two big kids are funny too, Ammorae loves watching CMT country music videos, of course she sings along with every single song and Jeff, the BIG kid ALWAYS watches FOX NEWS, even when they have nothing to report or say, it's soooo boring.
Our family show that everyone watches together every night is even funnier- Cake Boss. We love it. We feel like we know them so well we are apart of the famous Italian familia. Can't you see all these little girls and JEFF walking around saying, "whatcha gonna do" "bada bing bado boom" "yous"
AND I want to add that I don't hate anything, and that word is banned from our house, but I HATE the wiggles!
since my only kid is the 4-legged variety, he is just obsessed with peanut butter treats.
i loved the thomas show when i was younger but back then it had real people in the station....also ringo starr. i'm guessing not so much anymore?
Evan likes Thomas too. That's on his Christmas list. But he likes other things too. He likes Toy Story and especially Buzz. He's also eat up with watching our Tom & Jerry Dvd's. They are almost worn out. May have to get more soon. I remember finding and being trampled to get a Cabbage Patch doll and also the Little Tikes Kitchen for Amber. Those were all the rage then. Just remember its a phase and will pass. Have Fun!
That picture of Jeb grinning so big is adorable!! He looks so happy!! Have you seen the new train cartoon on the Disney channel? It is almost more than I can take...seriously, a whole show of trains talking & going down the tracks? Thankfully, my girls like Dora and the Disney Princess movies a lot better!
Have you introduced him to Chugginton (I think that's what it's called) on Disney...OH MY WORD! The theme song...just look it up on you tube.
Hannah was obsessed with Handy Manny for a few months and INSISTED we call her Handy Hannah. She even got a Handy "Hannah" toolbox...but it was short lived!
Your little boy and mine would get along splendidly. John-Heath is a trains, plains, and automobile kind of boy and he is crazy about Thomas!!!
Ten years ago I was in your shoes. My son LOVED Thomas and company. We never went anywhere without James, Gordon, Oliver, Percy, and Henry. We even did a train ride to the "North Pole" with him one Christmas and he was in *heaven*. He eventually outgrew it, but I'll never part with our Thomas collection. It's so sentimental. My youngest will pull it out from time to time and it's the sweetest thing...
I remember when Peyton was obsessed with Thomas. I totally feel you pain! Parker never got into go into Thomas as much but still loves trains. You need to get him a train table like Parker has for Christmas. Now the boys are OBSESSED and have been for 2 years-"Football guys" from the Kaskey Kids website. We have almost every time they offer. I find them all over my house. And let me tell you, when they are left on the floor, they really hurt if you step on one barefoot. I've done it way to many times....like several times a week.
Maybe I should bring the angel statue inside to help you cope with watching Thomas. Breathe. Side. Hurts.
