Every summer I try to do at least one fun food project with the kids a week. And since this was our first official week of out-for-summer, we started off with something really fun. I found this idea here, and it was most definitely a hit and something we will do again.
BE SURE and follow her instructions and not the instructions on the box. It's super easy, but it does require some patience from the little ones. We let ours sit in the fridge overnight, and it almost killed the Slaughter kids. At soon as we woke up this morning, we hacked into our watermelon, and it ended up being breakfast. It was a huge hit... as you can see.

Thanks for the idea!
How creative! Peyton doesn't like watermelon so I am going to have to try this idea sometime soon with my boys.
