Thursday Morning Blog-Worthy Happenings

Two blog-worthy events have happened this morning, and it's only 11:15 am. The first... Jeb and I got out this morning for our Thursday coffee at Starbucks. He wasn't really in a car seat mood today, and immediately demanded, "Cuee." (That's Jeb speak for 'cookie'.) So, I hand him a Vanilla Wafer, and not a mile later, he demands another. I tried to feel back (you know the one hand on the wheel/one hand searching on, around, everywhere for whatever the baby just dropped move) to find the one I just gave him but couldn't locate it. So, I hand him another cuee.

Then as I go to get him out of his car seat at Starbucks, this is what I find. Bless his baby heart. Oh, Son... seriously? You couldn't feel that?

The next 'funny' thing.... well, not so sure you can call this funny. More sad, maybe. Unbelievable. I received a text message from my husband this morning. The following is the message in it's entirety, unaltered, exactly how I received it.

"Park nder the oning."

Here... I'll add the picture for proof. (Actually, after looking, the one above it is funny, too. He's the messages in white.)

Because I know him so well, I FINALLY figured it out. Anyone want to take any guesses and play the "What Was Matt Trying to Say" game? There are no prizes, by the way.

Because my husband spells phonetically (or something like that!) and we communicate a lot like this as well, I'm going to guess that when you asked him if he could get the girls, he was telling you to park under the awning and get them yourself. Am I close? Ha!Hope you're having a GREAT day!

Totally just realized that the two that I were reading probably didn't go together... Ha! I'm a little slow today!

I'm going to guess "park under the awning" just like Erica did! I have to admit that I'm related to Matt by blood which would probably explain that I would of spelt "oning" pretty close to the same way! I cheated by looking how Erica spelt it!

Yes. Erica I can't believe you got that. "Park under the awning." I'm glad I'm not the only one with a spelling impaired husband. And Sarah, I told Gigi I'm blaming her completely for both yours and your brother's spelling issues. I wonder who gets the blame for my math problems???

Wow, and Sarah wrote "spelt"! Is that even a word?? :)

Hahaha....Angie that is SO funny. Reminds me of Matt, makes me miss working with him. Terri and I got a good laugh. She said that he is "slaughtering" the English language. ;-) Love it.

It's cookie osmosis!!!!! We used to practice that when we needed help studying for Kreiger's tests!!!

I laughed pretty hard when I saw that cookie on that poor kid's head. Then I snorted when I read what Matt wrote. That's pretty pathetic, I must say. Bless his sweet, spelling-challenged heart.

Oh, Angela. I feel your pain. Danny not only can't spell, but he interchanges words for each other without having any idea what he's doing! I.E. Danny says, "I need to print my application to take to this job." He means his resume, which he can't spell or pronounce. Oh, and the cookie on Jeb's head, PRICELESS.

That picture of Jeb & his cookie is so funny! I'll definitely be thinking of that the next time I'm doing the driving & searching in the backseat with one hand thing!! So cute!

Ok, the cookie on the forehead made me laugh out loud. Sort almost, even.

And I totally knew what Matt meant. While I cherish grammar and spelling, my brain sort of does work phonetically too. Look at what texting has brought us to!

Stopping by to say HI after some blog breaks.

Love the cookie pic - He must have wanted to save it for later - Yay!

Got the oning message - it's how you spell while texting - you should see the words my son comes up with - on my goodness.

Blessings to you and your family,
Cindy
