Giraffe Pool

Ummmm... can you say discrepancy? We bought this pool for the girls at Target last weekend. Looks like fun, huh? Pretty big. There's like four kids playing it in. Maybe looks like four more could easily fit.

Notice the large giraffe head towering above the little girl, spewing out a geyser of water. (Her arms are even up in the air!!) Well, either that child is an elf or my children are giants because Belle and Dru literally have to lay down as low as they can get underneath the giraffe to get a trinkle of water on them. There is absolutely no spewing. And there's no way two more kids could even fit in this itty bitty thing.

$40. Yes, that's what we paid for this overabundance of giraffe fun. I have never seen such false advertising, but oh... we fell for it. Maybe we got the small scale display model by accident. Oh no... here is the kicker. I kid you not... I did not write this with a sharpie.

"NO DIVING." Hey parents, do not let your kids dive in this pool, and do not leave them unsupervised in the 4 1/2 centimeters of water. Thanks for the warning, all you manufacturers of the giraffe pool. I appreciate it.

okay...I have not laughed that hard in a while. I truly almost wet my pants! I would totally be taking that back with the pictures that you took. Seriously I think that is a huge rip off!! It was almost worth it just for this blog post though!

Great blog post for sure!! I love it! You are such a good writer! I feel like you were talking to me outloud when I read that! Seriously! I'm with Erin on it...take it back for sure and show them the pics!! At LEAST send them to Target.com somehow! Any news on the house showing?

That was AWESOME. I love the visual. I also love that you put nude photos of your daughters on the world wide web. ;)

By the way, i think you should call the company and send them the photos. I called our sunscreen company the other day about our can not working properly and they are sending me a replacement. It's worth a shot!

Oh my goodness! That is hilarious Ang!!! I almost bought that exact pool for Peyton last week and I am so glad I didn't. I think you should for sure take it back and talk to the company about how much they ripped you off!!!

ROTFL! That was hilarious! After I just posted this serious post about my brother going back to the army, what a great laugh! Thanks for making us both laugh. I think you should keep it and we can let our infants play in it! Erin can bring Addis over in a few weeks and we'll shove 3 kids in there!

That totally stinks, but it's hilarious. I almost did the same thing - posting the "no diving" warnings, etc. on our little pool.

Hey, my name is Keri Boyd, we are friends with the Silveys, We have the same pool! Ours sprays water like crazy! Maybe you should take yours back.... it is small though, and the slide is a little unsteady=not so safe! We also got a good laugh of the no diving warning! :)

I found your blog from the comment you left on my sister's blog. I had to check it out! I can not believe that photo on the box. Those must be some small kids because my niece isn't even two yet and she can't raise her hands over her head without hitting that giraffe in the face. A little disappointing, but I hope the kids enjoy the cool water.
